Cheeky Wranglers assaulting the senses

Look, I've been through this before, but I feel after a good 5 hours at the Surry Hills Festival in Sydney yesterday I have to get this out in the open. Wearing shorts as small as your underpants, or even smaller are not a good look. No one is looking at you (who aren't desperate young men) and thinking 'amazing! I hope my morals are as loose as that one day!'. What people are actually thinking is 'ah why won't those tweens/teens/uni students, put it away?!' whilst vomiting in their mouths a little. They were out in full force yesterday and usually together in packs.
The great accessory to these kinds of shorts is usually an old 'vintage' band t-shirt whose sleeves have been cut off and show full side boob (please note these are bands if questioned they know nothing about). A girl in particular who won 'slunt of the day' for me was wearing a see through bra under hers so you could see her nipple peircings hanging out the side of her shirt like binocular vision. She also remarked at one point when lining up for food with her friends 'I don't even want to eat.... I just want vodka!'. Priceless.

A really good example from another blog

Trying new things

There was a time not that long ago where I would have only worn black, more black and slightly different shades of black (yes there are different shades of black). I am, however, trying to branch out. Not hugely... like pastels (yuk with my skin) or super fluros (I'm not going to a rave here), but you know the odd splash of something else. I mainly stick to the following: dark scarlet reds, dark purples, burgundy, the occasional mustard yellow accessory, but this will all be coupled with black. If I am not wearing black in some capacity or form I feel naked. Not actually naked, but the naked you feel when you leave your watch at home. I recently went overseas and decided I wanted to change my image (a style overhaul if you will) and bought florals, some orange, a chocolate shoe (it's from Opening Ceremony so it's ok) and many a basic from American Apparel. Here is a combo I am going to try and get the courage to wear to work this week. I think I can do it (with black shoes of course). Top by Kookai and Skirt by Cue.
It's not as fluro in real life I swear

Trends that are making me crazy for more

At this moment in time, the fashion industry is undergoing huge change; not only with its market retail, the online world, but also with its responsibilities to its followers. As someone working in the fashion industry, it is a time for promise and potential. How companies handle and commit to the next 5 years is going to determine the entire future of fashion. The rise of the online shopping world and the GFC have catalysed together many company downfalls, but have also enabled other retailers (ASOS, The Iconic, ShopBop etc...) to become these fashion monopolies. The effect of this is a move from Haute Couture, to PrĂȘt-A-Porter in a big way and this is showcased in the current trends of the moment as well as upcoming trends. The following are standouts for me right now:

Florals:
Thank you Stella McCartney

Aztec Jewelry:
Nicole Ritchie's House of Harlow

Brogue Shoes:
*Sighs* Oh Marni there are no words

McQueen's clean tailoring

Alexander McQueen has come to Saville Row. Sarah Burton personally helped design the one-of-a-kind store which opened today in London. With the new Opening Ceremony store opening 10 days ago and the largest Victoria's Secret store in the world on New Bond Street, I constantly ask myself the question: 'Why don't I live in London again?'. Yes poignant and obvious as this is, I don't and can't (at least not for a while), so I must watch from afar.
Focusing mainly on menswear, the shop is a focus on clean tailoring and something different. Beautiful winter fabrics of wool, cashmere and shearling are the main headliners mixed with silk linings and cotton shirts.
Do I wish I was a very rich man living in London right now? Yes!
Beautiful understated exterior
I love velvet couches

Totes awesome

I'm back after a lengthy break. I bought this amazing Celine luggage tote and I love it! Another great eBay steal. Always hard to verify its authenticity, but I did some thorough research, which is advisable. I am really happy with it so far and will be tote-ing it around.
